Resident Agent Service

We provide Resident Agent Services in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia.

Choosing a professional Resident Agent may be the difference between winning a lawsuit you were notified of immediately and losing a lawsuit that you were not aware you were involved in. A Resident Agent – also called an Agent for Service of Process or Registered Agent – is the person or company whose name and physical address are placed on public record to receive legal documents on behalf of your entity. You must have a Resident Agent in almost every state where you create or register an entity. The Resident Agent must be prepared to sign for documents and notify you immediately, since you may have as little as 20 days to respond if the documents pertain to a lawsuit. If your Resident Agent is a friend or relative who is out of town on vacation for 2 weeks, your ability to prepare a response to a legal request will be seriously compromised.

If the Resident Agent moves, the appropriate government agency must be notified, usually within 30 days. If your Resident Agent is a friend or colleague who forgets to notify the correct department and no one knows how to serve papers on your company, you could lose a lawsuit by default. Similarly, if your Resident Agent is a mailbox store whose employees are not used to signing for legal documents, you may also have a problem, either because an employee refuses to accept the service of process or because he doesn’t realize you must be notified immediately.

We are your Resident Agent in Nevada. Our offices are open to process servers from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. In all other states and DC we work with an organization to provide the services you need consistently and professionally.

As part of leading your team, you need to ensure that your Resident Agent always has your contact information, even during vacations.
